Philosophy of Art Education: 

 

      For numerous years, Art has been labeled as incompetent in a student’s curriculum; however, Art is a vital componenet in a student's academia because it serves as an outlet to express themselves. Art teachers, in a way, encourage students to open their horizons and explore what art has to offer. Through drawing, painting, sculpturing, etc., a student can mentally grow by observing the world around them. Projects in Art classes should have the reification of educating students how to nurture divergent answers, creativity, and critical thinking. Art stimulates imagination and sensory experiences which can show students unique ways of understanding who they are as an individual.
